IITAP certifications are valid for a two-year period, starting from the initial certification effective date. If the certification is renewed after the expiration date, the renewal date / time-frame does not change.
Example: A member's CSAT® certification expires on January 31, 2024, but isn't renewed until March 1, 2024. Once the renewal is reviewed and approved, the next renewal date will be January 31, 2026, not March 1, 2026.
As new IITAP clinical or pastoral certifications are earned, they are renewed with the initial certification going forward.
Example: A candidate's CSAT® certification is finalized and issued on January 31, 2024, so their renewal date will be January 31, 2026. The member then completes the two CPTT modules, and is awarded the CPTT certification on May 1, 2025. The CSAT® and CPTT renewal date is still January 31, 2026, not May 1, 2027.
In order to keep their certification(s) in good standing, members must renew prior to their certification expiration date and complete the requirements noted below. Please contact usfor any additional questions on the renewal process.
