MONTHLY LISTSERV DISCLAIMER BELOW:
This is a Professional Listserv and we appreciate your professional behavior. This Listserv is available to active members of the IITAP community only to share information, ask questions, seek to refer clients and support each other in working with clients primarily as it relates to sex/porn addiction and addiction interaction and the associated trauma. It is a valuable tool, and we want to make it a safe place to ask questions and obtain feedback. Those in the community who are unable to post in a professional manner will be removed from the Listserv. The IITAP listserv is a responsibility rather than a right.

REFERRAL REQUEST
14. When requesting a referral on the ListServ, please ensure you check the "Therapist Directory" on https://iitap.com first for general searches. If your request is specific and the directory cannot satisfy your request, include what you are looking for in the Subject Line, i.e. "Seeking Child Therapist, Atlanta GA", and include the phrase "backchannel me with referral".
15. Members and their organization can post clinical job opportunities on the IITAP ListServ. The posting cannot include financial compensation.
16. When asking for a referral for a treatment facility, feel free to share and discuss the client’s needs for a specific type of facility. Avoid personal commentary and hear say (naming facilities) about the cost or quality of care and why you did not choose a facility in your post.
MARKETING
17. Members can post/market an event (workshop, training, intensive, webinar, conference) in which they are the presenter or therapist. Members can post the unique event one time on the ListServ.
18. Members and non-members cannot request other IITAP members or the IITAP staff to post messages for them.
The reason for this is that the listserv is meant to be primarily a clinical resource for members. We understand that receiving some educational opportunities from other members within our community can be a benefit. However, receiving repeated advertisements from individuals and organizations outside of our community can turn our listserv into a platform that is primarily used for marketing. By placing some limitations on the number of marketing messages we hope to reduce complaints about this and increase retention of members on the listserv. If a member is involved in a workshop or training that is offered repeatedly (e.g., a certification), the member should be mindful of the frequency of posting. They may post it as a resource if it is relevant as a response to a thread, but not more than twice per year as a promotion.
19. IITAP reserves the right to REJECT Commercial advertisements for products, services, office rental, donations, etc. that is outside of the realm of the IITAP ListServ Purpose.
As always, if you have any questions, you can reach me at jo@iitap.com or
staff at info@iitap.com.
We appreciate your assistance and hope with everyone's help we can continue to have an active and helpful tool to share information.
Thank you!
