We encourage you to find a supervisor (or two supervisors; one being your primary and the other your secondary) who can assist you with implementing the materials into your practice.

You need to have active cases with either the addict, the partner or the recovering couple.

  • A minimum of 30 hours of supervision must be obtained prior to becoming fully certified as an ASAT/CSAT.
  • 10 of the 30 hours must be completed during an individual setting where there is one CSAT Supervisor and one Candidate (or two candidates but no more than two).
  • Your remaining 20 hours can be completed during a group setting where there is one CSAT Supervisor with at least three to six candidates.

It is your responsibility to keep track of your completed supervision hours.

  • Once you've established who you will primarily be working with, you and your primary supervisor will complete the Candidate- Supervisor Agreement Form. Please make sure one of you sends a copy to our office prior to you registering for your Module 3 training.

  • You will need a total of 8 Supervision hours before you are able to begin Module 3

  • You will need a total of 15 Supervision hours before you are able to begin Module 4

We recommend no more than two supervisors during your supervision process. You are responsible for communicating with both supervisors who is the primary and who is the secondary. Further, the supervisors need to communicate regularly during your supervision to make sure that both are on the same page and that they are best assisting you in progress with comprehension and application of the task materials.

How can you find out if your hours for Module 3 or 4 have been submitted?

You can check if this has been done by clicking My Profile and scroll down the page until you find 8 Hours Supervision Completed or 15 Hours Supervision Completed marked YES. If this field is not appearing on your end, then verification has not been received yet, and we recommend following up with your
supervisor.
